Roof Repair Hazelton ND Homes and Farms Ask For

In a town of a couple hundred people, a roof problem rarely waits for a contractor who happens to be passing through. Homeowners here need a roofer for Hazelton, ND who will make the drive, look closely and fix the cause. These are the services that fit the homes and outbuildings around town.

  • Roof repair: missing shingles, a leak at the chimney or a loose ridge cap is tracked to its source and sealed for good.
  • Metal roofing: steel roofs on farm shops, sheds and houses shrug off snow and hold tight in a strong wind.
  • Hail damage repair: we inspect after a storm, record the damage and work alongside your adjuster through the claim.
  • Roof replacement: when repairs stop making sense, we tear off the old roof and build the new one from the deck up.
  • Gutters: new gutters and downspouts carry snowmelt away from foundations and doorways.
Hazelton roots

A Small Emmons County Town With a Big Flax History

Hazelton was founded in 1902 and named for Hazel, the daughter of John Roop. It once carried the title of flax capital of the nation, a reminder of how closely the town is tied to the fields around it. The 2020 census counted 223 residents.

US Highway 83 is the town's link to the rest of the state. The highway passes through Hazelton on a stretch shared with ND Highway 13, and it connects the town with neighbors such as Moffit to the north and Temvik and Linton to the south. For our crew, the same road leads straight down from Bismarck.

Around a farm town, a roof covers more than a house. Shops, machine sheds and garages protect equipment that a family depends on every season. Roofing Hazelton ND properties well means treating those buildings with the same care as the home beside them. Agricultural buildings frequently require different materials, fastening patterns and ventilation than a residential roof, and we account for those differences from the beginning.

Metal Roofing Hazelton ND Outbuildings Can Rely On

A steel roof is one of the most practical choices for a rural building. Panels shed snow quickly, resist wind when fastened correctly and need very little upkeep once installed. On an older shop, rusted screws and worn washers are a common source of leaks, so we check every fastener line before deciding between repair and replacement. Galvanized and painted panels resist corrosion considerably better than exposed, unprotected hardware.

Metal works on houses too, especially standing seam panels with hidden fasteners. A good roofer in Hazelton, ND will explain how metal compares with architectural shingles on cost, look and lifespan, then let you choose. Whichever you pick, we finish the flashing, trim and ridge so the roof holds through a long North Dakota winter.

Replacing a shop roof is also a good time to fix what has bothered you for years, such as a drip over the overhead door or a gutter that always overflows. We plan those fixes into the same job, so the building is sorted out in one visit.

What to Expect From Your Roofer in Hazelton, ND

The first step is a visit. We look at the roof from the ground and up close, check the attic or the ceiling where a leak shows, and note the condition of flashing, vents and gutters. Then we explain what we found, with photos, before any price is given.

Your written estimate lists the work, the materials and what is included, so there are no surprises later. On a farm property, we can look at the house, the shop and any other buildings on the same trip and price each one separately. That way you can decide what to do now and what can wait for another season.

Had Draxen construction out to take care of our roof in Bismarck, and they did an excellent job. The crew showed up ready to work, communicated throughout the project, and paid attention to the little details. Everything was done professionally, and they made sure the property was cleaned up before leaving. It's hard to find contractors who take pride in their work but Draxen definitely delivered. Highly recommend them for roofing in the Bismarck area!

Draxen crew came and did vinyl siding on my house. Everything came out just the way I thought it would. Everything was straight and they had cuts really precise. They even went around all the openings with caulk to seal up holes and edges around fixtures on the house. They held themselves in a professional manner while working on my house. When they found an issue with the house they brought it to my attention and we found a solution fairly quickly so they could keep working. They offer multiple solutions and didn’t make me feel strong armed while needing the services. Very good company in all and will be using them again for anything exterior. Very reasonably priced as well.

Hazelton FAQs

Hazelton Roof Questions and Answers

(701) 504-9808
Do you really drive down to Hazelton for a roof repair?

Yes. Hazelton is one of the towns Draxen Construction serves from our Bismarck shop at 1907 Morrison Ave, and our crew reaches it by heading south on US Highway 83. We come out for repairs as well as full replacements, because a small leak left alone tends to grow. Call (701) 504-9808 to set a visit.

Can you fix the leaking roof on my machine shed or shop?

Yes. Leaks on metal outbuildings often come from loose or rusted fasteners, failed sealant at the ridge or a panel that has shifted. We inspect the whole roof, replace the worn parts and reseal the trouble spots. If too many panels are rusted through, we will explain what a full metal replacement involves.

What should Hazelton homeowners do right after a hailstorm?

Once the storm has passed and it is safe, take photos of any damage you can see from the ground, including dents on vents, gutters and siding. Then call us for a roof inspection and contact your insurance company. We document what the hail did and can meet your adjuster on site to go over it together.
